1967 I taught at Baker h.s. I had not trained to be a teacher and struggled with many things. I knew no one for 100 miles around. Lucille took me under her wing and was a good help. When no one would extend the hand of friendship , Lucille did. She was a first class teacher and person. Though I left the area at the end of that school year, we kept in touch especially at xmas time. I am forever grateful to her for her support. I just learned of her passing and had to let her family know I am saddened.

I'm sorry that I missed the obituary in the paper. I played bridge with Lucille for many years with the Jewell Manor Group. I always enjoyed playing with her. She was a fun and interesting person.

Miss Maschiri was a legend at Baker High in Baldwinsville, NY. Both of my older sisters had her, and I had her for several Business classes. She taught me how to balance a check book in 9th grade! Wonderful woman and exceptional teacher. I've thought of her often over the years.

Of all the teachers I've had throughout school & college, Miss Maschiri left a lifetime impression. She demanded and had the respect of her students. She loved her profession of being a business teacher as well as sharing her knowledge. She appeared stern on the outside but patience of a saint. To this day I value her many hours of after school tutoring me with fractions and percentages. The two things that I remember vividly from her are: When doing tax configuration - do you want a penny in their pocket or yours, they add up to dollars. Also to always tuck my chair in. It's kind of a joke in our household; if I remind my husband to tuck his chair in, he'll say - I know, what would Miss Maschiri say. He never knew her but knows from stories I've told him that no one wanted their name on the board! Rest in peace Miss Maschiri 💜

Miss Maschiri was one of those teachers that just "stayed with you". She could be a tough cookie but also had a warm heart. She tried hard to teach me eloquent parts (percentages). May she rest in peace.

in honor of Lucille.

I remember Lucille when I was 5. She and her mother were on vacation in the Bahamas and she spent most of the day poolside, reading and playing games with me! From bridge to long talks, she was one of my mom's favorite s. The world is a tad bit dimmer without her here. She will be missed!

Miss Maschiri was my Business Math teacher. She was an excellent teacher. I give her all the credit in the world as to why I am good with numbers. She made us remember percentages. I still remember them to this day. I was blessed to have her as a teacher. A nice lady as well. Prayers and thoughts to her family.

I met Lucille in the course of my employment at a local law firm. To say she was one of my favorites is an understatement. My life is so much better having met Lucille, at work, at Wegmans, and recently at Park Rose Estates. I was so delighted to see her there, as I had not seen her in some time. What a wonderful woman. Condolences to her many cousins who survive her.
