Amy Lynn Conroy
December 22, 1975 - December 27, 2019
Amy Lynn Conroy, beloved friend, daughter, and sister passed away on December 27, 2019 after a long illness with cancer. Originally from Gloversville, NY, Amy was a graduate of Alfred University. She spent her working hours as a CPA with Ernst & Young, Honeywell, and Hand Held Products. Amy loved to travel — working towards a goal of visiting all 50 states, cruising, attending concerts, theater, and seeing as much of the world as she could. She was a voracious reader and a gifted artist, applying her talents to oil painting, drawing, zentangle, and more. She adored caring for Lola, a rescue chihuahua suffering from severe cataracts, a fear of her own food dish, and a passion for playing fetch and snuggling on warm laps. Amy is survived by her parents, Brian & Linda Conroy; two sisters, three nieces and two nephews, as well as an extensive family of her own making — a community of loving and supportive friends, co-workers, and neighbors who loved and supported her throughout her life and her illness. Amy’s ability to find something to smile about, no matter what, made her a joy to be around and will continue to be an inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life service will be held at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5 – 7 pm, followed by a short service at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at The Church of The Holy Spirit, 153 S. Main St., Gloversville, NY at 11 am on Saturday, January 4, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Amy's honor to any of the following: Metastatic Breast Cancer Network http://mbcn.org/ Metavivor https://www.metavivor.org/ Helping Hounds Dog Rescue https://www.helpinghoundsdogrescue.org/
