Anthony T. "Tots" Cifra

Anthony T. “Tots” Cifra, 92, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Christmas day 12/25/2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital of a Covid-19 related illness. He was born in Syracuse, of the late Ettore Cifra and Diega (Merulla) Cifra and predeceased by his siblings; Virginia Vanelli, Josephine D'Aquino, Charles Cifra and Angela Caruso. Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Alibrandi); their 70-year marriage was a lifelong commitment of enduring and devoted love. He is survived by his children, Kathleen Cifra, Stephen Cifra (Jo-Anna), Dr. Gary Cifra and Dr. David Cifra. He leaves his loving memory to be cherished also by grandchildren, Jennifer (George) Harrington, Shannon (Joe) Dattellas, Anthony Cifra, Sydney Cifra, Lyndsey Cifra; great-grandchildren, George, Nathan, Brayden, Alaina, Gianna, Dominic; and several nieces and nephews. Anthony was a US army veteran. He retired as an assistant Vice-president after 38 years of dedicated service with Lincoln/Chase Bank. He always worked a second job; he worked at Gary's clothing for 43 years and Kaufmann's department store. He was a devout practicing Catholic and parishioner of St. Rose of Lima, N. Syracuse, NY. Anthony “Tots” was a devoted and loving family man; selfless, hard-working, loyal, and dedicated. He was an exemplary role model of Integrity, loyalty, honesty, and character. Anthony had a great sense of humor. He was a young 92 with a youthful spirit which he shared with all, from young to old. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2020 from 8:30 – 9:30 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anthony’s life at 10:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Church. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on stroseny.org. Private entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
