Dominick A. Mezatesta

May 15, 1928 - April 30, 2022

Dominick A. Mezatesta, 93, of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully beside his loving family on April 30, 2022. He was born in Solvay, NY, son of the late Frank and Rose Mezatesta. Dominick was a proud U.S. Navy WWII veteran. He owned several local successful restaurants throughout the years and was the head chef; his food was delicious! Dominick enjoyed golfing, walking every day, and loved cooking for family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his wife, Stella Mezatesta in 2004; his grandson, Scott Putman and brother, Dick Mezatesta. Dominick is survived by his three daughters, Julie (Jim) Billings, Toni (Luigi) Bersani and Cynthia Bernot; his son, Frank Mezatesta; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Angela Gonnella and brother, Amby Mezatesta; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to the staff at the VA Medical Center. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 9:30 – 10:45 am at Epiphany Parish at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am at the church.
