Florence S. (Smith) Klinkowsky

September 25, 1925 - March 26, 2022

Florence S. (Smith) Klinkowsky, 96, of Clay, NY passed away at Menorah Park on Saturday March 26, 2022. She was born in Newark, NJ to the late Ralph and Marion (Reed) Smith. Flo was a lifelong member of Delaware Street Baptist Church. She was very active in Eastern Star, Amaranth, and White Shrine. Florence was a retiree of Kemper Insurance where she was an underwriter. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother and was a Den Mother when her eldest son was in Boy Scouts. She loved to travel and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Flo really enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She also enjoyed crafting and in later years tried her hand at painting. She spent the last three years at Menorah Park of CNY where she truly enjoyed her time and made a lot of new friends. Besides her parents, Florence is predeceased by her husband Walter; 2 brothers, Robert, and Ralph Smith and her 2 daughters, Joan Blanchard, and Jane Stevenson. Florence is survived by 2 sons; Edward (LuAnn) Porter, Paul (Kelly) Porter; daughter, Anne (Robert) Fusco; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 10 am – noon, immediately followed by a funeral service at noon at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, with burial to follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Florence’s name be made to Menorah Park of CNY Staff Account.
