Josephine M. (Corso) Thebert

December 19, 1942 - April 20, 2022

Josephine M. (Corso) Thebert left this earth to be with her Lord in Heaven on April 20, 2022. She was born in Syracuse on December 19, 1942, to the late Anthony and Mary Corso. Josephine graduated from the Syracuse City School District before going on to work in various stores in Syracuse before meeting the love of her life, Robert Thebert in 1960. Josie was a devoted wife and mother. As a born again Christian, Josie loved helping children, teaching children’s Sunday school and vacation bible school for several years at Calvary Baptist Church in Brewerton. Continuing her dedication to help children, she took charge of caring for twelve young school children from the housing development. Besides her parents, Josie is predeceased by her brother, Louis Corso; sister, Toni; as well as her in-laws and several cousins. Josie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Thebert, Sr.; son, Robert (Renee) Thebert, Jr.; grandchildren, Katie Thebert and Jessica (Brad) Rosemeyer; great-grandchildren, Courtney, and Carissa Rosemeyer; her loving sister, Mary Corso; and her faithful lifetime friend, Marie Edwards. Josephine’s family and friends may gather on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212, with a service to follow at 4:00 PM. Private burial will take place in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
