Lee A. Wetmore

October 3, 1951 - April 22, 2021

Lee A. Wetmore, 69, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and resided in the Syracuse area for many years. Lee worked at Stickley Furniture, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. He was an avid woodworker and was known for his hand made wood quilts. Lee enjoyed SU football, baseball, and classic cars. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren; they were the light of his life. He is predeceased by his father, Allen Wetmore. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gloria (Greco) Wetmore; five children, Bobbi (Hector) Vergara, Jamie (James) Woodbury, Jason (Meg Kellogg) Wetmore, Jesse (Shelly) Wetmore and Beau (Sierra) Wetmore; his mother, Marjorie (Thompson) Wetmore; ten grandchildren, Alejandro, Nicolás, Amalia, Owen, Oralee, Opal, Braedon, Rhyder, Cyrus and Sophia; four siblings, Tim Wetmore, Terry (Martell) Speigner, Larry Wetmore and Jean (Ken) Kerr, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Bank of CNY, 7066 Interstate Island Rd., Syracuse, NY 13209.
