Mary Ann (Babcock) Renihan, 86, of Liverpool, passed away November 2, 2021 at Crouse Hospital. She was a resident at Elderwood in Liverpool. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late William and Agnes (Curran) Babcock. Mary Ann worked as a branch manager for Key Bank, retiring in the early 1990’s. She enjoyed playing Bridge, Pinochle and Pitch, but most of all, spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Renihan in 2001 and her sister, Mary Ellen DeMayo. Mary Ann is survived by four children: Ellen King, William (Lisa) Renihan, Meggan (Joseph) Kreitsek, and Josh (Kerie) Renihan; six grandchildren: Sarah, Marguerite, Zachary, Emily, Jack, and Bridget; five siblings: Joseph (Judy), Thomas, Marguerite Cole (Steve), Mary Agnes “Sissy” Sobota, and William; along with many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann suffered through numerous medical issues during her lifetime, but you would never know it. She handled herself with grace and dignity. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Mary Ann’s life at 3:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
