Mary J. (John) Brice

November 28, 1925 - February 8, 2022

Mary J. (John) Brice, 96, of Camillus, passed away February 8, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frank and Louise (Berardi) John. Mary worked as a family court stenographer before joining Burns Supply as its credit manager, retiring after 50 dedicated years. She was also co-founder of F.R. Brice Florist. Mary was a member of St. Peter’s Church where she belonged to it’s Women’s Society, Bocce League, and the Young at Hearts after joining Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. She was a member of the Men’s and Women’s Credit Group of Syracuse and was past president of the National Credit Group. Mary was also an active member of the Lincoln Cultural Group. Mary and her husband Walter traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally; for their 45th wedding anniversary they traveled around the world. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter G. Brice in 1995; in-laws, Richard and Nellie Brice; her brother Rocco and his wife Helen, and her beloved brother-in-law, Leon Lella. Mary leaves behind a son, Frank R. Brice; her sister, Rose Lella Windsor of Henderson, NV; a nephew, Anthony Lella of Las Vegas; two nieces, Louise Lella of Denver, CO, and Mary Lee Prenesti and her husband Todd of Ashland, MA, along with several additional nieces and nephews and their families. A special acknowledgement goes out to Thomas Honors for his friendship. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, followed by interment in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
