Ralph B. Busco

May 28, 1930 - April 12, 2022

Ralph B. Busco, 91, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the home he built over 65 years ago. Born in Syracuse to the late Mary (DiPierco) and Joseph Busco, he was a journeyman tool & die maker at General Motors, retiring after 42 dedicated years. Ralph was a gardener and woodworker, but most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going out to dinner. Along with his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Grace, in 2016; his cherished daughter, Cynthia Cappoletti, in 2000; as well as 3 sisters. He is survived by his son, Michael (Susan) Busco; son-in-law, Nicholas Cappoletti; grandchildren, Christine (Brad) Bennett, and Julie (Brandon) Smith, and Mark Cappoletti; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kinsley, and Addison; brother-in-law, Vincent Nicotra; a sister; along with several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 10:00 am in St. Daniel Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212. Per the family’s request, facial coverings are encouraged. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
