August 11, 1945 - April 6, 2022
Raymond J. “Ray” Mirra, 76, of Jamesville, passed away on April 6, 2022, at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Joseph and Frances (Antelmi) Mirra. He loved boats and cars and had a joy to travel and dine at great restaurants, his current favorites included, Joey’s in Syracuse, Pellettieri Joe’s in Utica, and Blue Canoe Grill in Erieville. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his animal companions, Blackie and Miss Kitty. Ray is survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Dawn Scarantino, son, Michael (Holly) Bozzuto; 6 grandchildren; his twin brother, Rich (Susan) Mirra; his niece, Lindsy (Dave) Fisher; his nephew, Paul (Nicole) Mirra; along with many cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Trauma/ICU Team at Upstate University Hospital for their special attention to Ray.
