Richard Louis Luckette, Sr.

Richard Louis Luckette Sr., 80, of Baldwinsville, passed away at Crouse Hospital on January 20, 2022. Born in Solvay, son of Louis and Palma (Carocci) Luckette, Rich worked at Williams grocery store until he started Six-R-Construction that was in business for over 50 years. Rich constructed and repaired buildings, houses and apartments all across CNY. He was known for being a personal handyman for his family, friends, and friends of friends. Rich sang bass proudly for the local group “Harmony Katz” and in his quartet “Off the Top”. He enjoyed gardening, baking and sharing his produce and treats with his friends and family. Richard was a pillar of faith in his community including serving as board chairman at Faith Heritage School and a member at North Central Church where he would only be found in one of his best suits. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Luckette in 2019. Surviving are his children, Rick Luckette, Renee Sackett (Bill), Randy Luckette (Kristi), and Raquel Williams (Dan); his grandchildren, Ricky, Brock, Ethan, Meagan, Joshua, Kaley, Jala, Caleb, and Josiah. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at North Central Church, 7463 Buckley Rd., N. Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Richard’s life will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at North Central Church, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
