My condolences to the family I have known for over 40 years during this difficult time. Ms Nies was truly a beautiful person with a heart of gold! Always smiling and so sincere. She always treated me like family and I will never forget that. She loved her boys and worked very hard to give them a great life. It takes a strong woman to raise two boys and she did it gracefully. She was a great mother and grandmother. Shayla, you were the daughter she never had. You brought so much joy to her life! Just know, you were her heart and she will always be with you. Where to begin…
“Grandma Nies,” as my 10-year-old Spencer always called her, was truly a special person. Every time we were in Syracuse, Spencer would make sure to surprise her with flowers—something that always brought a smile to her face.
To my brothers, Papa and Greg, I love you both. The impact she had on all of us will never be forgotten.
She’s smiling down on us today, reunited with those she loved, and watching over the family she cherished .
Mrs. Nies was the kind of mother everyone wishes they could have. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of so many, and she will be deeply missed. I don't know of a kinder or more compassionate soul. While our hearts grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that Heaven has gained an angel. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy as a beloved great-grandmother, mother, aunt, and friend.
Genuinely one of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I consider myself lucky that our paths crossed in life. You will be missed, Cindy.
