I remember Coach making us line up and “count up from left to right... count up!” Inevitably someone would mess up the count and we would start again. Sometimes half of gym class would be taken up with this. I remember the huge parachute that we would hold and then run underneath as we raised it. Fond memories of him allowing us to roller skate after school and play records in the gym. God bless.

Sally Jo, Jimmy, Debbie and Tommy, thank you for sharing your Dad with us kids from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. He mentored, coached and shaped the minds of so many youths including those of us that were his neighbors. Many fond memories growing up swimming and diving in your pool, rides in his dune buggy to the highway department on Route 31 when it was surrounded by just fields and farmland, your parents evening stroll around the block walking Pedro,the Chihuahua, and stopping to chat with any of the neighbors outside as they did just to name a few. Your dad would tease my brothers about which one of them poked a hole in the pool hose for years and asked me if I knew which one did it. Not sure if it really happened because your dad would always laugh about it. (bet it was my brother Matt..haha)When my father moved to Florida after my mom passed away, your Dad and Mom would pay him a visit and bring a touch of Bayberry with them when they’d go down. May your Dad dance in the heavens with your beautiful Mom again for eternity now that they’ve been reunited.

Jim, and family ~ I am so very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was truly a wonderful man, loved by SO many! Many fond memories of him as our elementary gym teacher! Jim, I, and so many others, Loved it when you brought him out to 'happy hours' at Sharkey's and we got to see him and recent years. And loved that he and his sweet wife, your mom, came to our 30th(?) high school reunion at Megan McMurphy's (the 'old Gin Mill'). You're all in our thoughts at prayers! ~ Take comfort in know that he was loved, he went peacefully, and he is reunited with his love! <3
What can one say? Tony was a delight to know. I enjoyed our evenings at various eateries around the area, over the years.
A "guy's night out! Always a joke or a good story or both! One of the last of the "Greatest Generation" that I personally knew. God bless you Tony! My condolences to his family Thom, Debra, Jimmy, Sally Jo, and their families, and all of Tony's many friends.
