We laid our mom, grandma, Aunt, sister, and friend to rest after an unbelievable fight to stay with us. She was loved by all of us, and she loved us back. As Austin said she told us that she loved us and even when she couldn't tell us, we knew that she loved us in her head.
How could we ever forget those huge blue eyes looking at us every time we walked in too see her as she fought this terrible disease. I can remember going up to see her and asking her if she wanted me to turn on the T.V. only to be told no that Johnny would do it! I could never touch the TV because Johnny was in charge of the T,V,!
One thing that everyone commented in the last few weeks that I heard over and over was that she and Bob were the best grandparents, I have to agree, and thank them for being the best grandparents to Michael and Bobby, My sons were truly blessed with wonderful grandparents, who truly loved them unconditionally.
I can still hear Bob telling Elaine come on Elaine get your face on lets go!!! Well she has her face on, and they are together, and I think that is what is truly helping us with all of this, Bob and Elaine are back together again! We will never forget you <3
What a beautiful service yesterday! It was truly a wonderful tribute to a woman who has meant so much to so many of us. While we are all left here on earth to sort out our feelings of grief and sadness, I am comforted by the fact that Elaine is no longer in pain and been reunited with her life companion Bob. I know many of us noticed that when looking at the pictures, many of her biggest smiles where in pictures that included Bob. They really were a great team and am confident they are reunited in god's kingdom!
I hope soon that the pain and sadness of Elaine's death is replaced by joyful and wonderful memories of her life on earth. She was a "feisty" lady and loving Grandmother! We will miss you! Chris
