Margaret Virginia (LePore) Torio

With deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Virginia (LePore) Torio, who peacefully left this world on March 1, 2025, at the age of 95. Known to her loved ones as Marcy, she was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Born on August 6, 1929, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Sophie (LaManna) LePore. Marcy lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She spent 63 beautiful years with the love of her life, Nicholas Torio. From their first introduction on a local party line to their final days in life together, they created a family deeply rooted in love. She leaves behind her three children, Nick Jr. (Lee) Torio, Linda (Robert) Facciponte, Sheri Borio, and former husband, Martin Borio; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Audrey) Torio, Andrea (Philip) Barbaccia, Jamie (Jen) Torio, Giancarlo (Andrea) Facciponte, Alyssa, and Dominic (Haley) Facciponte; and nine great-grandchildren, Elise, Max, Logan, Brynn, Mila, Gianluca, Brooke, Adelina, and Grover. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each generation she nurtured. Marcy’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with strength, comfort, and purpose. She remained deeply devoted to her spiritual journey, spending her later years in dedicated study of the Bible, seeking wisdom and drawing closer to God. Her unwavering belief and steadfast devotion were an inspiration to all who knew her. Her other passion in life was baking for her friends and family. All who were fortunate enough to have known her have likely tasted her pizzelles and other baked goods. Marcy will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. From “Friday Night Live,” to Christmas, and countless birthdays, each gathering was a celebration of family, food and tradition. A funeral Mass in celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 9:00 am, on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Church, where family and friends will come together to honor her memory. She will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd.
