Carol Josephine Louise

Carol Josephine Louise passed away peacefully at home on April 14th, 2024. She was born March 19th, 1938, along with her twin Charles (2023), they grew up in the Eastwood area with their parents Charles (2002) and Sue (1992) Louise, and their younger sister Janet (Chester, 2004) Moro. Carol was Valedictorian of the 1955 class of Eastwood High School and went on to work at the Oot & Associates Law Firm for many years. She was a patron of the arts including the Syracuse Symphony and The Syracuse Orchestra, a member of many organizations including the Onondaga Historical Association the Barnes Hiscock Foundation, the Updowntowners and a long-time season ticket holder of Famous Artists and Broadway in Syracuse. She was a regular at the Carrabba’s monthly wine dinners, and numerous group trips to museums and other culturally relevant areas. She loved to travel the world seeing Hong Kong in its prime, Ireland, Russia, Italy, and many other countries. For two decades, she lived in Conroe Texas with her partner Ray Anderson (1998) and they were frequent devotees to Las Vegas and Florida. She returned to Syracuse in the 90s where she enjoyed working at the Greene, Hershdorfer & Sharpe Law Firm, officially retiring well into her 70s. Her zest for life continued, as she most recently attended Cirque du Soleil, saw the solar eclipse, and joined her friends at her favorite Carrabba‘s wine dinner just this past week. She is survived by her sister Janet, her godson and nephew Stephen Moro, nieces Chandra Louise, Susan (Bill) Campbell, nephews Charles Louise Jr. & Justin (Ronna) Louise, four beloved great nephews Adam, Daniel, Jack & Thomas Louise and several generations of cousins. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 8:30 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church 3127 James St., Syracuse. Carol will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to The Syracuse Orchestra or Onondaga Historical Association.
