First, I just learned this morning about Kurt's passing back in December and wanted to share a few words about him as I reflect on our friendship. My sincere condolences go out to his wife and family.
I knew Kurt and met him through industry and RSES. He was a leader and someone who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others in his work and community service. Whether you agreed with Kurt or agreed to disagree from time to time you could always be sure that he would share his passion for what needed to be done and he would take on the challenges life threw his way.
Great man that will be missed!

Dear Joan and Family,
On behalf of the Lehigh Valley RSES chapter we offer our sincere symphaty on the loss of Kurt. He was an avid supporter of everything educational and especially RSES. It was an inspiration to know him. His love of learning was evident in the way he lived his life.
We enjoyed our time together last September at the EKA seminar and I don't think I ever saw Kurt and Joan laugh more than at the dinner that Saturday evening. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
