Albert H. "Big Al" Cutri's Obituary
Albert H. “Big Al” Cutri, 75, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Crouse Hospital. He was born 1 of 14 children in Syracuse to the late James and Carmella (Fidele) Cutri. Al was employed with New Process Gear for 14 years and was a laborer for various local contractors. Al was well known for his strength and was known as “Moose” in the construction community. He was an avid bowler and pool player who also volunteered for the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes and Charity for Children.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Carmen Cutri, Frank Cutri, Vince Cutri, Guidoni “WeWe” Cutri, Joe Cutri, Mary (Teddy) DelGuidice, and brother-in-law, Harry Vercillo.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Anne (Albino) Cutri; his two sons, Clark (Susan) Cutri and Albert Cutri; seven siblings, Carmella Vercillo, Sam (Madeline) Cutri, Orlando Cutri, Duca Cutri, Rose (Joe) Scalisi, Helen (Rocky) Barbato, and Anthony Cutri, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Monday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Albert’s life at 10:00 am in St. Cecilia’s Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
