Albert A. Petragnani, Jr.'s Obituary
Albert A. Petragnani, Jr., 87, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Elvira (Iacuone) and Albert A. Petragnani, Sr. Al graduated from North High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He retired from Carrier Corp. after 23 dedicated years. Al enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Nicholas and Michael Petragnani.
Al is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Janet (Pompo) Petragnani; his three children, Jay Petragnani, Michelle Petragnani and Robert (Gail) Petragnani; his five grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Anthony, Christian and Juliana Petragnani; his sister-in-law, Sharon Petragnani, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:30 pm in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church Building Fund, 920 N. McBride St., Syracuse, NY 13208.
