Alberta Rose Cross' Obituary
Alberta Rose (Sauter) Cross, 84, of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday at the Highland House. She was born in Syracuse and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Alberta loved playing Bingo and going to the casino and also enjoyed sewing and going to the craft shows at church. She loved playing rummy with her grandchildren and friends. Alberta was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Ray Cross in 1986. Alberta is survived by her son, Donald J. (Elizabeth) Cross of Hagerstown, MD and her daughter, Ann E. (William) Latocha of Bridgeport, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer Cross, Matt Cross, Michael (Ning) Cross, Scott (Nicole) Brennan and Karen (Brian) Clark; ten great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
