Alice Monica Angelo's Obituary
Alice Monica Angelo, 83, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017.
Alice was born in Syracuse, NY to Louis and Susan (Castiglione) Angelo. She attended Syracuse University, graduating in 1955, and then continued her education at Smith College, Northampton, Mass. achieving her M.S.W. in 1962. Her adjunct faculty posts included Onondaga Community College, Cazenovia College, SUNY Morrisville, and Syracuse University Graduate school of Social Work. She was employed by the Onondaga County Department of Social Services as a Case Supervisor for Children’s Division from 1955 to 1988. She worked as a field supervisor for the S.U. School of Social Work for over 20 years. She was an avid bridge player. Alice also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing folk songs at private parties and the Snow White Inn.
Alice is survived by several cousins in Syracuse, Kingston and Rochester N.Y., along with her bridge friends. Respecting Alice’s wishes, her services were private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 6606 Kinne Road, Syracuse N.Y. 13214
