Alice J. (Wooledge) Busch's Obituary
Alice J. (Wooledge) Busch, 86, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Herald and Florence (Whitney) Wooledge. Alice was a former member of the Lafayette Women’s Auxiliary. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Lafayette and volunteered with her late husband William, peeling apples and making pies for the “Lafayette Apple Festival”. Alice especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband, Carl F. Higgins, Sr., her second husband, William J. Busch, Jr., her sister, Shirley A. Dann and her only son, Carl F. Higgins, Jr.
Alice is survived by her granddaughter, Pamela J. Higgins; great-granddaughter, Audrianna C. Boshane; her great-grandson, Richard T. Boshane; three nieces, Deborah (Danny Owens) Tysco, Cynthia L. (Thomas J.) Brennan, Sr. and Colleen M. (Ray) Hall; many great-nieces, great-nephews and her “fur baby” Mollie.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Alice’s life at 9:30 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Lafayette. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
