Alice M. Weaver's Obituary
Alice M. (DeLong) Weaver, 91, of Clay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2022 at The Cottages at Garden Grove. She was born in Clay, NY to the late Earl and Hazel (Chase) DeLong. Alice enjoyed reading, writing, sewing, crocheting, camping, playing cards and taking trips to the beach. She was a lifetime member of the Clay Volunteer Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary. Alice wanted nothing more than to spend time with her beloved family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William C. Weaver and her daughter, Patricia M. LeFevere, both in 2019.
Alice is survived by her children, Debra (John) Jones, Carlton (Susan) Weaver, Thomas (Wendy) Weaver, Timothy (Elizabeth) Weaver, and Pamela (Richard) Levandowski; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alice’s many aides and the staff at The Cottages at Garden Grove for their excellent care.
Calling hours will take place from 4 – 6 pm immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Alice’s life at 6 pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. She will be privately laid to rest with her husband, William, in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay Volunteer Fire Department, 4383 Route 31 Clay, NY 13041.
