Allan F. Merola's Obituary
Allan F. Merola, 62, of Cicero, passed away Thursday at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse to Martin and Margaret (Saddemi) Merola. Allan was a Scheduling Planner with University Hospital for 35 years and also worked at Northern Pines Golf Course for 7 years, being an avid golfer. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Allan is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Palma M. (Rovito) Merola; his two sons, Jason M. Merola of Victor, NY and Jeremy A. Merola of Cicero; three grandsons, Bradley, Grant and Mitchell Merola; his mother, Margaret DeRienzo of Syracuse; a sister, Karen (Frank) Neri of Syracuse along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass in celebration of Allan's life will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
