Allene M. Huntley 's Obituary
Allene M. (Cook) Huntley, 78, of Camillus passed away on Monday in Community General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Penn Yan, NY she resided in the Syracuse area since 1993. She retired as an accountant and was also a Nanny for several years. Allene was an avid bridge player and was active with the Bridge Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Huntley in 1985 and her son, Michael Huntley in 2004. Allene is survived by her 5 children, Susan (Dan) Boye of Canandaigua, Julie (Larry) Sunser of Camillus, Virginia (Anthony) Virts of Newark, NY, Shirley Huntley of Syracuse and Nancy (Bob) Mowers of East Rochester; her mother, Doris Allen Cook of Camillus; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Joan) Cook of Binghamton and Gregory (Karen) Cook of Idaho; a sister, Gloria (Herm) Shippers of Savannah, NY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd., N. Syracuse on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM.
