Althea Freda (Smith) McNabb, 82, of Chittenango, passed away at her home on September 11, 2020. Althea was born in Saranac Lake, NY to George and Helen Smith.
She is predeceased by her husband, John McNabb; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Althea is survived by 6 of her 10 children and 14 grandchildren; Rodney W. Duprey and son Cory, Darlene White and son Adam White, Suzanne Spencer and daughter Bobbi Jo, sons Richard and Tommy, Casey Spencer (wife Patricia) and son Timothy and daughters Jessica and Victoria, Michele Spencer and son William and daughters Amanda and Bridgett, and Dawn Oppe (husband David) and Ireland, Kayla, Adelyn, Saercia and Clodagh; her sister Nancy and brother George, along with several nieces and nephews.
Althea was loved so much by her family and friends. She loved the fresh air, going to the casino, Family Feud and being with her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. She was the one that everyone called for a laugh, advice, or just to chat. The world is a better place because of her. She has officially changed her address to Heaven.
