Andrea Louise (Jensen) Craven's Obituary
Andrea Louise Craven, 85, of Clay, NY, passed away at The Cottages in Cicero on September 12, 2023. She was born on February 12, 1938 in Wellsville, NY, to Arthur Jensen and Alice E. (Eymer) Jensen.
Andrea was the spouse of her high school sweetheart, the late Phillip Z. Craven who was also raised in Wellsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, RaeAnn Rahr (Jensen).
In Andreas' earlier days, she enjoyed cooking, reading, painting landscapes, bird watching and spending time with her grandson and family. She was always willing to give a helping hand to whomever needed it.
She attended State University of New York College at Geneseo and upon graduation, worked as a Librarian for several different school districts. In her later years, she was employed by "Catherine's" and worked her way up to assistant manager until retirement.
Andrea is survived by her brother, Peter J. Jensen (Bonnie) of Arkport, NY; her son, Donald P. Craven (Susan) of Clay; her grandson, Bryan K. Craven (Ashley Butterworth) of Clay; two great granddaughters, Lexus A. Craven and Zoey G. Craven, both of Clay, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10 am – 12 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Andrea’s life at noon in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Phillip in Woodlawn Cemetery.
