Andrew Phillip Christiansen's Obituary
Andrew Phillip Christiansen, 39, of Chittenango, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Born on December 24, 1986, Andrew lived a life marked by loyalty, laughter, adventure, and deep love for the people closest to him. He was employed as a manager at Old Dominion Freight, where his hardworking nature and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on those around him.
Andrew was predeceased by his biological mother, Mary Christiansen, and his brother, Ricky Christiansen.
He is survived by his parents, Carol Christiansen and Richard Christiansen (Christina Christiansen); his siblings, Brandi Rao (Leonard Rao), Jeremy Christiansen, Joe Christiansen, and Matthew Christiansen; his cherished nieces and nephews, Logan Doyle, Alana Doyle, Annabelle Christiansen, Leon Christiansen, and Gabe Allen, all of whom adored their Uncle Andrew; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
Andrew loved life fully and unapologetically. He loved riding his motorcycle, was always quick to remind everyone that his truck was “not a car,” and found joy in great food, live music, and frequent trips to New York City. He was an avid concertgoer, a passionate foodie, and recently discovered a love for whittling. He was especially proud of his brand-new truck and the simple happiness it brought him.
More than anything, Andrew loved his family and friends deeply. He was the kind of person whose presence filled a room; the constant and always-welcomed third wheel to Matt and Vanessa, the uncle who never missed an opportunity to cheer on a dance recital, baseball game, or hockey event, and the friend everyone could count on. His hugs were engulfing, his sense of humor unforgettable, and to be loved by Andrew was one of life’s greatest gifts.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Andrew’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to Ricky’s Fund, Inc. at https://www.rickysfundinc.com.
