Andrew L. Mancini's Obituary
Andrew L. Mancini, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frank and Antoinette (Palatella) Mancini. Andrew served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 267 and retired in 1998. Andrew was also a member of FMCA, “Family Motor Coach Association” for 37 years. He enjoyed driving his Corvette. Andrew loved spending time with his family and was very loyal, maintaining lifetime relationships with many friends.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Joseph Mancini.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Virginia (Brown) Mancini; three sons, Michael (Denise) Staley of Seattle, WA, Richard (Brenda) Staley of Jacksonville, FL and James (Kathleen) Mancini of Clay, NY; his daughter, Sherry (John) Dobreski of Camillus; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Ralph Mancini of Mattydale; two sisters, Rosemary McKee of Syracuse and Theresa (Charlie) Lohm of Central Square, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Andrew’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
