Andrew J. Merola's Obituary
On August 6, 2014, Andy lost a three-year battle with cancer. He fought bravely to the end and was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. He was a graduate of Syracuse City School District (Henninger High School). Andy was a long time employee of AJM Management and most recently worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Andy truly enjoyed life. He played a little guitar, played a little golf, and enjoyed a little good food and drink. But most of all, he enjoyed his friends and family, and all of the people around him. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hematology-Oncology Associates of Central New York. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Alphonse and Josephine Merola and a brother, Albert J. Merola.
He is survived by his former wife, Kay Ralston Merola and his two sons Andrew and Jake Merola. In addition he is survived by his siblings Sue Collins (William), Dr. A. John Merola (Beverly), Arnold Merola (Mary Jane), Joseph Merola, a sister-in-law Doreen Miori-Merola and many loving nieces and nephews. Andy leaves behind many cherished friends and his adopted brother Mike Suletti. But most of all, Andy will be missed by his beloved caregiver Mary Jane Merola.
