Angela M. "Babe" (Ianno) Frontale's Obituary
Angela “Babe” (Ianno) Frontale, 82, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2021. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Dominico and Pasqualina Ianno, after they migrated to America from Italy. She grew up on the north side of Syracuse and graduated from North High School before starting her career at General Electric and Lockheed Martin, where she worked for 29 years.
Babe will be remembered for devoting her life to her husband Dominick Frontale, whom she was married to for 59 years. She raised 4 boys, who were all born in a 5-year period. She was a doting mother to her sons and a strict enforcer, all in one. Nothing brought her more joy than her 8 grandchildren, with whom she shared special bonds with. Family gatherings and weekly meals meant everything to her.
She also enjoyed traveling, Aruba was one of their favorite places, and they traveled there every year with lifelong friends, Kathy and Orry Egnoto. They wintered in Cocoa Beach, FL in their retirement years. One of Babe's fondest memories was the family trip to Italy to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends and watching football and basketball games.
Babe was predeceased by her parents, Dominico and Pasqualina Ianno, her brother Tony Ianno, brother-in-laws Tony Spinella, Ciro Frontale, and Joseph Mento, as well as sister-in-laws Grace Ianno and Cecile Ianno.
She is survived by her husband Dominick Frontale; sons Louis (Karen Holl) of Fayetteville, Dominick (Cindy) of Levittown, PA, Patrick (Renee) of Clay, and Jeffrey (Michele) of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren Nicholas, Olivia, Christopher, Samuel, Bridget, Sophia, Luke, and Marco.
