Angela Giarrusso Mastriano's Obituary
Angela "Nana" (Musilli) Giarrusso Mastriano, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 3, 1919 to Antonio and Filomena Musilli in Syracuse and was a lifelong resident. Angela was an avid movie buff and was well known for her signature pumpkin pie. She loved to sing and her childhood dream was to become a ballerina. But what she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her family, always expressing, "Love One Another". Angela was a spiritual woman, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Dante Giarrusso and her husband, Orlando Mastriano (1984), along with several brothers and sisters. Angela is survived by her loving children, Dolores Giarrusso (Robert) Romano of Liverpool and Dante M. Giarrusso of Canton, NY; six grandchildren, Joseph (Suzanne) Romano, Bonnie Buccina, Lynnette (Dean) Panos, Robert (Courtney) Romano, Jessica Giarrusso and Katie Giarrusso; six great-grandchildren, Francesca, Marc, Marie, Alexander, Giovanna and Andrew, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Angela's life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
