Angela (Damiani) Giocondo's Obituary
Angela (Damiani) Giocondo, 97, of Liverpool passed away peacefully on December 18th, 2025 surrounded by her family. Angela was born in Pagani, Italy, daughter of Salvatore and Marianna Damiani. She came to America with her mother and sisters, Nancy and Maria.
Angela married James Giocondo of Syracuse in 1964 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. They had 3 children and made a beautiful home and were happily married until James passed away in 1999.
Angela cooked the most amazing meals, and her greatest joy came from sharing them with her family and friends. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family.
Angela is survived by her two sons, Pat Giocondo and Jim (Lori) Giocondo; her daughter, MaryAnna (John) Bilger; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Sara, Pat Jr. (Angela), Angela, Vinny (Melissa), Nicolett, and Olivia; seven great-grandchildren, Antonio, Joseph, Mark, Annabella, Greyson, Vivienne and Grace, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks to the nurses at Upstate Community Campus 4 North for their loving care of our mother.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Angela’s life will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. Daniel Church, 3004 Court St., Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
