Angelina (Ponticello) Marcimino's Obituary
Angelina (Ponticello) Marcimino, 91, of Liverpool, passed away November 15, 2021. She was born in Castiglione di Sicilia, Italy, daughter of the late Antonino and Carmela Ponticello. Angelina was employed as a seamstress at Clothing Center and Giovanni’s Mens Shop.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Marcimino in 1974; four siblings: Salvatore, Carmelo and Giuseppe Ponticello, and Maria Papa; her companion, Bill Obit.
Angelina is survived by her son, Carmen Marcimino and her daughter, Lena (Gerald) Birardi; two grandchildren: Nicole (Scott) Zion and Jeffrey (Megan) Birardi; great-grandchildren: Sienna and Noah Zion and Mason and Baby Birardi (due in December); a sister, Rosina Santoro of Australia; a sister-in-law, Carmela Ponticello, along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Angelina’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Assumption Cemetery.
