Angelina (Rachetta) Mirarchi's Obituary
Angelina (Rachetta) Mirarchi, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Born in Calabria, Italy, she came to America in 1968. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years, Antonio; her son, Salvatore Mirarchi, and her daughter, Maria (Salvatore) Camastra of Liverpool; two beautiful granddaughters, Angela (Nickolas) Jordan of Cornelius, NC, and Julianna Camastra of Clay, NY and one great-grandson, Giancarlo Jordan of Cornelius, NC.
She is also survived by 9 of her brothers and sisters, Concetta (Pietro) Calabretta and Gesa Tolone, both of Italy; Anna (Joe) Ontano of Naples, Fl, and Maria (Rosario) D’Ambrosio, Rosa Vatrano, Antonetta (Salvatore) Cerullo, Antonio (Rosa) Rachetta, Sam (Dora) Rachetta, Frank (Sharon) Rachetta; sister-in-law, Joanne Rachetta, all of Syracuse, NY, along with many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Maria and Paolo Rachetta, and her brother, Joseph Rachetta of Syracuse.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caring and dedicated staff of 3 North at James Square Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Angelina’s life at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
