Angeline M. "Angie" Roffo's Obituary
Angeline M. “Angie” (Vadala) Roffo, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Born in Syracuse to the late Francesco and Catherine (DeVita) Vadala, Angie graduated from North High School and worked at GE, before retiring from Syracuse University after many years. Her hobbies included bowling, golf, tennis and watching SU sports. She loved to cook and enjoyed reading.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Augusto A. Roffo; son-in-law, Michael P. Bittner; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Angie is survived by her children, Theresa (James) Fedele, Michael Roffo, and Marlene (Scott Surlock) Bittner; grandchildren, John (Danielle) Bittner, Mariesa (Carlos Castro) Bittner, and Aviana Fedele; great-grandchildren, Carmella Castro and Robert Bittner along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash Street, Syracuse, NY from 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Angie’s life at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, 800 Grant Blvd. Syracuse, NY.
