Angelo Barone's Obituary
Angelo Barone, 92, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Ferry) Barone. Angelo served with the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Penfield Manufacturing in 1988 after 20 years of service and then was employed at Flickengers Warehouse. Angelo enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lynn (Haggett) Barone in 1992 and his sister, Mary Cunningham.
Angelo is survived by his three children, Bobbie (James) Featherstone of S. Onondaga, Joseph Barone of Lakeland and Marc (Jennifer) Barone of Utah; eight grandchildren, Paul, Ryan, Anthony, Amanda, Nick, Nicholas, Matthew and Natalie; four great-grandchildren; his longtime companion, Joan Sears; two sisters, Julie (Dodge) Monteleone of Fayetteville and Rosemary Liss of North Syracuse, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Angelo’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
