Angelo Di Natale's Obituary
Angelo Di Natale, 80, of Minoa, passed away on January 10, 2024. He was born in Furnari, Messina, Sicily to the late Tindaro and Francesca (LoPresti) Di Natale and after emigrating to the United States, graduated from North High School in 1962. He later enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War for 3 years. Angelo was involved in the transportation industry for 32 years; he began his career with Carrier and went on to retire from AEI as the Vice President. He loved gardening, winemaking, growing fig trees, and was an avid Yankees and Syracuse basketball fan. Angelo was a friend to all who met him and lit up every room with his smile. His most important accomplishment in life was his family whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Antoinette Awad.
Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Maria Di Natale; his children, Tindaro “Dino” Di Natale (Jamie Touchette), Joseph (Karin) Di Natale, Rose Marie (Jeffrey) Brown, and Anthony (Karen) Di Natale; his grandchildren, Angelo, Joshua, Julia, Vinny, Liliana, Joey, Tessa, Olivia, Anthony, Angelo, Vito, Landon, Cohen, and Brinley; his sister, Marie Faliti; his brothers, Joseph (Wanda) Di Natale and Anthony Di Natale (Jean Aldrich); along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A funeral mass in celebration of Angelo’s life will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 19, 2024 in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 401 North Main St., Minoa. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
