Anita L. (Ciciarelli) Cornwell's Obituary
Anita L. (Ciciarelli) Cornwell, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Perone) Ciciarelli.
Anita enjoyed dancing, cooking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. You would often find her at the Friday night fish fry at the American Legion on Legionnaire Drive, and the VFW in Phoenix.
Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; Wayne Cornwell; her brother, Leonard Ciciarelli, and sister-in-law, Judy Ciciarelli.
Anita is survived by her children, Charles A. Maneri, Jr. of Syracuse, Angela (Michael) Cesta of Brewerton, Anthony J. (Lisa) Maneri of Central Square, and Niki (Eric) Clifford of North Syracuse; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Miles; a brother, Joseph Ciciarelli; her “partner in crime” Diane Bisesi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral service in celebration of Anita’s life at noon at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will take place with her husband at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anita’s name may be made to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, 750 E. Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210.
