Ann (Mercurio) Barletta's Obituary
Ann (Mercurio) Barletta, 85, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at home. Ann was born in Syracuse and lived on the north side where she met her husband of 64 years, Dominick Barletta. Ann graduated from Assumption Academy, was an avid bowler and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Ann (Nelipowitz) Mercurio,; two sisters, Mary Mercurio and Margaret Long; her brother, Anthony Mercurio.
Ann is survived by her husband, Dominick Barletta; her two sons, Dominic (Patricia) Barletta of East Syracuse and David (Carol) Barletta of Syracuse; two daughters, Mary (Joseph) Cominolli of Syracuse and Ann (Kevin) Brazell of Liverpool; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass in celebration of Ann’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Franciscan Church of the Assumption, 812 N. Salina Street, Syracuse. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse, on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Interment will take place in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to Assumption Food Pantry, 812 N. Salina Street, Syracuse NY 13208.
