Ann Marie (Delia) Caccamo's Obituary
Ann Marie (Delia) Caccamo, 83, passed away June 11, 2022 in Virginia. She was born in Syracuse on June 13, 1939, daughter of the late John Delia and Mary (Sgroi) Delia.
She was united in holy matrimony to Joseph Caccamo on September 12, 1959, at Our Lady of Pompei Catholic Church in Syracuse, NY. Together, they were blessed with four beautiful children. Throughout Ann’s life, the most important thing to her was family. She was a devoted mother who raised her children in a strong, loving home. Once her children were grown, Ann returned to the workforce and spent more than twenty years managing a podiatry office. She enjoyed interacting with the patients and always met them with her biggest smile. One of her greatest joys in life was becoming Nana to 8 grandchildren. Whether it was a dance recital, soccer or football game, or school assembly, Nana would be there to be their biggest fan. She adored her grandkids and they loved her!
Ann was always the hostess; she opened her home to anyone with open arms. She spent a lot of her time cooking and baking, often for others, and has passed down all her recipes to her children and grandchildren. Whether it was Christmas pizzelles or Sunday pasta, her table always had an open seat. She loved to crochet and gifted many blankets to family and friends over the course of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Delia, Jr., and her daughter, Carey Caccamo.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Caccamo; her brother, Frank Delia (Connie), brothers-in-law, Frederick Caccamo and Thomas Caccamo, Jr. (Maryann); her daughters, Franny Beebe (Andreas) and Mary Ann Nesbit (John); her son, Joseph Caccamo, Jr. (Kelly); granddaughters, Ashley Corum, Katie Beebe, Madison Beebe, Eden Nesbit, and Cassidy Caccamo; grandsons, Connor Beebe (Ann), Brennan Beebe, and Cameron Beebe, and great-granddaughters, Kailee and Kaylin Allenjohns, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9:45 – 10:45 am at Epiphany Parish at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Ann Marie’s life at 11:00 am at the church. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
