Ann (Denega) Modafferi's Obituary
Ann (Denega) Modafferi, 90, of Syracuse, passed away December 20, 2018 at St. Camillus surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Skaneateles, NY, daughter of the late Max and Tekla Denega. Ann was an avid bowler and loved her trips to the casino. She enjoyed listening to music and loved spending time with her family, telling stories.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick in 2013; five siblings: John, Michael, Frank, Olga and Mary.
Ann is survived by three children, Donna (Robert) Pollock of Liverpool, Paul (Susan) Modafferi of North Port, Fl. and Mark (Jill) Modafferi of Cato; eight grandchildren: Lisa Cowburn, Kristin (Patrick) Culligan, Donna Modafferi (Tucker Flake), Gina (Bob) Modafferi-Cappucilli, Kate Modafferi, Brian Modafferi, Nathan (Amber) Modafferi and Abbie Modafferi; seven great-grandchildren: Crue, Olivia, Noah, Max, Brea, Dominick and Veda; her brother-in-law, Anthony (Florence) Modafferi; sister-in-law, Madeline Modafferi; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ann’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Camillus for the wonderful love and care she received.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Ann’s life at 9:00 am in St. Daniel’s Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
