Anna Marie Colucci's Obituary
Anna Marie (Monforte) Colucci, 94, of Syracuse, passed away on July 7, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born 1917 in Syracuse, NY to Italian immigrants, Carlotta and August Monforte. In 1953, Anna and her husband Tony settled in California to raise their family. Eventually making her way back to Syracuse in 1996 after the passing of her husband, she remained with her immediate family and many dear friends the rest of her life. She had a long, active and full life as a devoted Catholic, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Anna will be deeply missed and treasured. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Colucci in 1996; Anna is survived by her eldest son, Daniel and wife, Janna Colucci of California; youngest son, James Colucci of California; granddaughter, Michelle Colucci; goddaugther, Mary Lee Osborne; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Joe DeRose; brother, Thomas Monforte; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM in Most Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Catholic Charities.
