Anna (Pisciarino) Fioretto's Obituary
Anna (Pisciarino) Fioretto, 72, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2022. She was born in Monopoli Bari, Italy on October 5th, 1949, to Gaetano and Isabella (Tarantino) Pisciarino, and at the age of two years old she immigrated to the United States. Anna graduated from Henninger High School 67’ and Syracuse Cosmetology School 68’. She was employed with the Syracuse City School District as a Food Service Manager for 25 years before retiring in 2011.
Anna was a loving wife, mother, Nonnie, sister, cousin and aunt. Most importantly, Anna’s (Nonnie’s) life revolved around her seven grandchildren; they were her world. She did everything with her grandchildren and often enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, babysitting her grandson AJ, cooking and especially cleaning. Each year Anna vacationed in Wildwood Crest, NJ with all her family and was known for being the life of the party. Anna will be remembered for her love of life, beautiful positive energy, and wise and loving presence in our lives. She spread love and light to anyone she met. Her presence and kindness will forever be held close in the hearts of the many who loved her. Anna loved all her nieces and nephews, especially Lisa Adams who calmed her fears throughout her life and stood by her as she fought a courageous battle with cancer. She will deeply miss her neighborhood friends in Lighthouse Village Circle who she shared many fond memories with.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her sister, Paula Ervin of Albuquerque, N.M.
Anna is survived by her husband, Anthony V. Fioretto; her children: Jennifer (Paul) Gonzalez, Kelley (Bryan) Picciott and Anthony V. (Andrea) Fioretto, Jr., grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda (Babe), Chris, Connor, Alex, Sam and AJ; siblings, Angela LaFrance, Sandy (Karen) Pisciarino, Ramona Cabrey, and Rosa (Louis) Copani; her cousin, John (JoAnna) Tarantino, and all of her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 8:45 – 10:45 am, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Anna’s life will take place at noon on Friday at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St., with entombment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
