Anna M. (Cannone) Lacona Loiacono's Obituary
Anna M. (Cannone) Lacona Loiacono, 94, of East Syracuse, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, daughter to the late Vito and Elvira (Romagno) Cannone. Anna was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her first husband, John Lacona; her second husband, Anthony Loiacono, and her sisters, Mary and Jenny.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Theresa A. (William) Strauss and Nina M. (John) Novenche; her son, Joseph A. (Mary) Lacona; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great- great- grandchild; her brother, Nick Cannone; also her special nieces and caregivers Terri, Vera, Jeanine, Michelle and Marie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anna’s life at 11:00 A.M. in St. Matthew’s Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
