Anna Mae (Herbacynko) Gullotta's Obituary
Anna Mae (Herbacynko) Gullotta, 93, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 23, 2024 with her husband, Nick by her side. A Syracuse native, Anna Mae devoted everything to her family, never missing an opportunity to attend a sports game, musical performance, or graduation to cheer on the people she loved the most. She and Nick were devoted to each other for 69 years, having married in 1955 at Transfiguration Church. Anna Mae enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking and hosting her loved ones for family dinners. An avid greeting card lover, she worked for American Greetings Co. for over 20 years.
Anna Mae is predeceased by her parents, Emile and Helena Herbacynko, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband Nick, her legacy lives on through her family including two daughters, Susan (Robert Jr.) Neufang and Karen (Anthony) Ortega; her most beloved grandchildren, Nicole (Stephen) Douglas, Victoria Neufang, Daniel Ortega, Robert (Katherine) Neufang, III, and Anthony J. Ortega, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Declan and Sophie Douglas; along with several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A funeral mass in celebration of Anna Mae’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Transfiguration Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
