Anna M. (Odai) Paternoster's Obituary
Anna M. Paternoster of Lloyd Harbor, NY was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on December 31, 2015 from a long illness. Anna was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She was born on May 12, 1965 in Syracuse, NY. Anna attended Liverpool High School and Ithaca College. She loved her family, her summer home in Montauk, NY and the beautiful country side of the Tuscany area of Italy. Anna cherished her friendships with friends from school to the present day. Watching her sons play Hockey and Lacrosse kept her very busy and very happy.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Paul and Josephine Tucci of Syracuse; Paul and Anna (Odai) Pastore of Monopoli, Italy and her father, Anthony Odai in 1980.
Anna is survived by the love of her life, Scott. They were married in July of 1993. Her sons, Tommy, a freshman at Tulane University, Malcolm, a junior in high school and David “Duke” in 5th grade; her loving mother, Mary Ann Odai of Liverpool; her in-laws, Donna and Joe Paternoster of Huntington, NY; three brothers and two sisters, Tom of Santa Fe, NM, Lisa of Atlanta, GA, Anthony (Wendi) of Santa Fe, NM, Michael (Mindy) of Redwood City and Michelle Odai of Miami, FL; her sister-in-law, Nancy Paternoster of Oregon and brother-in-law, Paul Paternoster of Huntington, NY; adored by nieces, Stella, Pippa, Elsie, Olive, Doviana and Valentina and nephews, Jack, Isaac, Kingsley and Paxton. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins in the U.S. and Italy.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington, NY. Burial was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington, NY on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
A Memorial Service will be held in Liverpool at a later date.
