Anna (Carrara) Russo's Obituary
Anna (Carrara) Russo, 88 of Liverpool, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 23, 2024. Born to the late Carlo and Dora (Eboli) Carrara in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy before immigrating to the United States with her husband and children in December of 1972. She worked at Learbury’s as a seamstress until her retirement. Anna loved family gatherings and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She had a passion for shopping and dining out, especially when she was with her family. Her infectious smile warmed your heart, and made you feel welcomed.
She was predeceased by eight siblings.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Natale; children, Peter (Mary Ann) Russo, Carlo (Katrina) Russo, and Michael Russo; grandchildren, Peter, Sabrina, Natale, and Nicholas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins both in the United States and abroad.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St. Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse, NY.
