Anna (Nanno) Terranova's Obituary
Anna (Nanno) Terranova, 87, of Liverpool, passed away at James Square on Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Philomena (Melfi) and Dominick Nanno. Anna was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church. She adopted four children from Catholic Charities. Anna was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, raising her children and taking care of her family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Anna DeSalvio, Lucy Caravaggio, and Grace Bianco; two brothers, Michael and Rocco Nanno.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph Terranova of Liverpool; her four children, Michael (Sabine) Terranova of Syracuse; Robert (Phena Alley) Terranova of Buffalo; Joanne Terranova of Liverpool, and Lisa (Dr. Stephen) Pittelli of CA; four grandchildren, Robert Terranova, Jr., Stephanie Terranova, Jeffrey Terranova, and Katelyn Terranova; one great-grandson, Alexander Dumigan; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Anna’s life at 9:00 am in St. Daniel’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
